Promote and enable the rapid adoption and standardization of UWB worldwide for high-speed wireless, multimedia-capable personal-area connectivity in the PC, CE and mobile market segments

Provide a neutral and open forum for multiple industry segments to establish requirements, specifications and best practices for usability and interoperability

Promote worldwide UWB spectrum regulations

Develop, maintain, enhance and reference technical specifications including:
- PHY and MAC
- Convergence architecture to provide coexistence and fairness including support for multiple applications (e.g., Wireless USB, Bluetooth, IP, etc.)
- A protocol adaptation layer for the Internet Protocol
- IP-based application profiles
- Streaming media applications

Establish a compliance, certification and interoperability program with compliance test specifications and logos for, and in cooperation with, multiple industry-based organizations, such as USB-IF and Bluetooth. Where appropriate, establish liaisons with other organizations that develop specifications and standards for networked multimedia products

Educate businesses and consumers about the benefits and applications for wireless multimedia products in a personal network

|
|
Foster competition in development of products and services and comply with all antitrust laws
